Even if Centazzo and Crispell known each other since 1978, just in April 2012 (while Mr. Centazzo was celebrating 35 years of his label ICTUS at THE STONE in NYC with 24 concerts of ICTUS NIGHTS FESTIVAL), they had the opportunity to play together.
The result? An amazing combination of avant-garde, romanticism and jazz fueled by a fiery energy. The CD will be available soon.

Regarded as "one of the most influential percussionist of the last 20 years" (Modern Drummer 2006), Mr. Centazzo is also an award winning video maker. In this project inspired by the name of the Buddhist Universe, Centazzo once again combines percussion, digital percussion and computer sequencing with his award winning videos shot all around the World, bringing the emotion of a new sonic and visual adventure to the audience.

This is the 2012 version of the original Mitteleuropa Orchestra that disbanded in 1984. The new CD THE BATTLE, out now, was recorded in NYC at the very same festival ICTUS NIGHTS. Some of the old orchestra members are there along with new talents for an electrifying experience.
